My artist
Kaylen won a coloring contest at school this week. A winner was chosen from each classroom and got to choose a free book from the book fair. I just find this really interesting, and not to mention, humbling, because Kaylen does not hold her crayon "correctly." The occupational therapist in me has pushed her from the beginning to hold it correctly. I have tried telling her and I have tried my therapy tricks on her. She will do it when I tell her to but when I'm not watching she goes back to what is comfortable for her. As do all the kids I work with. :) But she loves to color and does it well. Sure makes me wonder if I know what I'm doing with all those kids I work with.

Good job Kaylen!! That is AWESOME!! How is she liking school?
Congratulations - that is awesome!
And I am on Trenton all.the.time to hold his pencil right but 1 second after I say it, he is back to the old "wrong" way. So frustrating! Nice to hear you have that issue too ;)
